Translation

Ìý

In conceptualising this lecture series, we conceived of 'translation' in the broadest of terms. That is, not just as the translation of words or texts from one language into another, but also as the much wider process of moving or conveying cultural material or information from one context or medium into another. Translation thus serves here as a general term for various forms of intercultural communication.

The talks will take place in Michaelmas and Lent Terms on Thursdays from 5:30pm at several venues (please see below for details).
