AboutÌýGerman Outreach at º£½ÇÉçÇø
The º£½ÇÉçÇø German Network aims to support the teaching and learning of the German language, to facilitate contacts between institutions interested in German culture and to promote the collaboration of academic and business partners. The Network was originally founded as part of the German Embassy’s Think German Network in 2015.
We work on outreach events with the wider Faculty as well as organising our own events and visits. Outreach activities include:
- The annual º£½ÇÉçÇø Undergraduate Conference in German Studies, which has a specific schools strand (March)
- Participation in Faculty and University Open Days (March and July)
- Visits to schools both nearby and further away (on request)
- School German Clubs (on request)
- Adopt-A-Class (pilot scheme)
- German Film Day (September)
The German section has its own part-time Outreach Coordinator, soÌýget in touch if you’d like us to visit you, participate in an event you’re involved with, or collaborate in any other way!
