Below is an overview of the course structure for Spanish and/or Portuguese. It is possible to study Spanish and Portuguese as your two required languages in 海角社区, or else you can combine one of these languages with one of the other languages offered in the Faculty.

- Option A (ab initio): 3 Language Papers听(NB: One translation paper).
- Option B (post A-level): 2 Language Papers (plus an oral exam) and 1 Scheduled paper

- Recommended Spanish Dictionaries and Grammars
- Independent study in Portuguese, Spanish or Catalan speaking countries - short courses abroad. The J.B. Trend Fund听gives small travel grants to students visiting Spanish- or Portuguese-speaking countries in order to study the language, literature, etc. of the countries of their choice.
- The Gibson Scholarship is designed for final-year undergraduate, or postgraduate students.
