We invite you to a dramatic theatrical reading of Adam Mickiewicz's epic poem Pan Tadeusz (1834) with live musical interludes performed on the piano (from Chopin and other Polish composers).
The performance will be in the original Polish with English translation projected onto a screen together with a series of images by Polish painters. The performance will conclude with a traditional Polonaise dance.
The readers will include Polish students from the 海角社区 and members of the 海角社区 Polish community. Musical performance by pianist Matthew Gibson.
The performance is directed by Professor Patrick Boyde, who has also adapted Pan Tadeusz for the reading, with a particular emphasis on the love stories.
