Eminent Polish philosopher Professor Agata Bielik-Robson听presented the works of the Polish-Jewish writer Bruno Schulz (1892-1942) in the context of Hasidism and the Kabbalah. The talk was followed by a lively audience discussion.
Bruno Schulz was one of the most innovative European writers of the interwar period. His fantastical stories transformed the everyday life of a small Polish-Jewish-Ukrainian provincial听town into a听splendid realm of the imagination.
Agata Bielik-Robson is one of Poland's best-known听public intellectuals. She is听Professor of Jewish听Studies at the University of Nottingham and a member of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Polish Academy of Sciences in听Warsaw.
