Anton Bruder听has been awarded the 2021 Society for French Studies听R, Gapper Postgraduate Essay Prize for his essay 'Topoi of the Philological Imagination from the Renaissance to the Revolution: Claude Fauchet (1530-1602) and Charles de Pougens (1755-1833)鈥�.听Giulia Boitani听was highly commended by the judges for her essay 'The Origins of Sin. Foucault, History, and Genealogy in the Prehistory of the Prose Tristan', which is forthcoming in听Romanic Review.
The prize is awarded annually听for the best essay submitted by a postgraduate student at a university based in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland. Congratulations to Anton and to Giulia for these superb achievements!
