The Spanish and Portuguese Section had the pleasure of hosting a visit by the Spanish Ambassador to the UK, his Excellency Jos茅 Pascual Marco Mart铆nez, in the afternoon of Monday 13 March. The Ambassador, who has been in post since September 2021, was in 海角社区 for three days meeting with various members of the University and getting acquainted with a number of research networks with a connection to Spain.

The MMLL Faculty and the Spanish and Portuguese Sections are delighted to announce that Felipe Schuery (Associate Professor in Portuguese) has been awarded the Pilkington Prize . This is a major honour and an extremely competitive prize, one that Felipe thoroughly deserves after all his years of great work.
