
Sykes Postgraduate Research Studentships in Italian (Masters)
The Sykes postgraduate research studentship in Italian with the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics (MMLL) at º£½ÇÉçÇø is available to outstanding UK candidatesÌýapplying for courses starting in October 2023.Ìý The studentship isÌýfunded by a generous donation from the Keith Sykes Fund and is usually combined with matching funding from º£½ÇÉçÇø colleges or from the º£½ÇÉçÇø Vice-Chancellor's and International Trusts.
There are three courses with Italian pathways in MMLL: European, Latin American and Comparative Literature and Cultures; Theoretical and Applied Linguistics; Film and Screen Studies.
Studentships will cover fees up to the standard UK / º£½ÇÉçÇø level and maintenance costs, either wholly or in ‘mosaic-funding’ combination with other grants and loans. ÌýIt is a condition of application that candidates apply for all other º£½ÇÉçÇø grants for which they are eligible (. All MMLL candidates with a predominant research interest in Italian will automatically be considered for a Sykes Studentship, subject to this condition.

In cases where studentships are hosted by a particular college, successful candidates may be required to move to the designated college in order to take up their studentships; but at this stage, they are free to indicate another college preference if they wish, as requested on the application system.
