Department Boasts Two Nominees for Public Engagement Awards

Stanley Bill and Rory Finnin

Dr Stanley Bill and Dr Rory Finnin of the Department of Slavonic Studies are nominees for the inaugural .

The award celebrates the many ways in which research can be shared with members of the public with the goal of generating mutual benefits, changes or effects. Both Dr Bill and Dr Finnin have shared their respectiveÌýresearch on Poland and Ukraine with various publics around the world through workshops, festivals, social media initiatives, broadcasting, and more. They are among 69 nominees from across the University.

The Public Engagement with Research Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, 20 June 2016. Winners will be announced live on the day by the Vice-Chancellor of the º£½ÇÉçÇø.
