Cinematic Thinking Outside Itself:听4th听- 5th December 2015.
This interdisciplinary two-day academic conference aims to explore film and听film theory as a mode of thinking, understanding, and re-evaluating other听fields and their听interrelationships: from architecture, literature, philosophy, and听the sciences, to the practical act of filmmaking itself. The conference speakers听include prominent academics from a听range of backgrounds and experiences听drawn from the Universities of 海角社区, Chicago, Harvard, London,听Manchester, and Oxford. Speakers have been asked to听think听specifically about how their discipline has been and/or could be reshaped by听cinematic thinking. The conference is aimed at advanced graduates, postgraduates,听and senior academics from any discipline.
