About Me
Fangyu is a 2nd-year PhD student in NLP at the听Language Technology Lab,听海角社区, supervised by Professor听Nigel Collier. He is recently working on three things: 鈥冣�� 1.听multi-modality: connecting language with knowledge and perception; 鈥冣�� 2.听self-supervision: specialising language models without (human) labels; 鈥冣�� 3.听interpretability: what鈥檚 encoded/missing in (pre-)trained model weights? He is a member of听Clare Hall听and a Trust Scholar funded by听Grace & Thomas C.H. Chan听海角社区 Scholarship. Besides 海角社区, he also spent time doing research at听Amazon,听EPFL, and the University of Waterloo.
